 Recently, my almost extinct formspring account was brought back to life by two friends. One of them threw me this question, "li bakit palagi ka masaya?" Whether it was a serious question or not, I replied with this, "Dapat ba malungkot? :)" It was an honest answer. Although I've never thought of myself as a genuinely happy person (and I never thought some perceived me as such), I figured one can be happy as long as one opts to be happy. There would be always pros and cons in every situation you encounter but at the end of it all, it's up to you to decide on what kind of experience it was. Of course, there would always be people who'll make you realize what it's worth but it will always always always and always you who holds the final verdict.
Once, a person told me that he idolizes me for I manage to be happy despite the fact that I'm single. I don't believe I should be happy just because I'm with another person. It doesn't sound right that you achieve the feeling solely because of that. And I'm pretty proud that I enjoy life just as it is not because there's only this one single person who makes it worth it. But to be fair, I don't deny the fact that it does become extra special when you find that one special person you'd be happy to share your life with.
There are people who've always thought of life as unfair and unhappy. I think otherwise. Life would be as you take it, nothing else. It would be as you choose it to be. There would be no one description of it and it will vary from one person to the other. I define and choose mine to be a happy one.
